Your first class is a 50-minute split of treadmill intervals and strength work. The lights are low, the music is loud, and the focus stays on the workout rather than on who is watching. Here is the practical version of what happens from the front door to the smoothie bar.

Before you arrive

  • Arrive 15 minutes early. Check-in, the tour, and the room walk-through all happen before the class starts.
  • Bring photo ID. It is required at check-in for first-timers.
  • Wear supportive training shoes and clothes you can move in.
  • Bring water, or grab a cold bottle at the front desk.
  • Do not arrive late. Late arrivals cannot join the class.

The room

The studio is built around club lighting and a loud playlist. That is deliberate: low light and high energy keep the focus on your workout. You will see Technogym treadmills on one side and benches with dumbbells on the other.

The 50 minutes

The class is half treadmill intervals and half bench strength with dumbbells and core. You switch twice, so both halves get real time and the room stays in motion. The coach leads the intervals and the strength work; your job is to choose loads and speeds that let you keep moving well.

The treadmill is interval-based, which means short efforts followed by recovery. Speed and incline are yours to dial. If you want a lower-impact day, tell the coach before class and they will help you scale it.

Choosing where to start

Your spot is labelled T, B, or DB. T starts on the treadmill, B starts on the bench, and DB is a double bench with no treadmill. You book the code in the app. If you are unsure, start with B to settle in, or take the spot finder before you book.

Pacific Beach or Del Mar?

Both studios run the same 50-minute class. Pacific Beach is at 4275 Mission Bay Dr #110, a short drive from Mission Bay. Del Mar is inside Del Mar Highlands Town Center near the Sky Deck. Pick the one that is easier to reach on the day; the room, the format, and the first-timer offer are the same.

You belong here. The room is designed so the workout is the only thing worth looking at.

If you are nervous

The first class can feel like a lot: a new room, a treadmill, a bench, and a coach calling intervals. The low light is there for a reason. With low lighting and high energy, the focus stays on your workout — not on who is watching. Tell the coach it is your first class. You will get a tour, a spot, and help setting up.

After class

Fresh towels, Malin + Goetz toiletries, and clean showers and changing areas are part of the studio. The vegan smoothie bar uses Organifi protein, and you can pre-order in the app so it is ready when you are done.

The first-timer offer

First-timers get two classes for $32, which is two classes for the price of one. It is the easiest way to try a treadmill start and a bench start, or to bring a friend to the second class.

Book your spot ahead of time in the app, choose T, B, or DB, and arrive 15 minutes early. That is the whole checklist.
